Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital

Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB Hospital), located in Dilshad Garden, East Delhi, is a premier 1700-bed tertiary care facility under the Government of NCT of Delhi. Established in 1987, it serves as the only Delhi Government hospital in the Trans-Yamuna region, catering to a vast population from East Delhi and neighboring states. Affiliated with the University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, the hospital also functions as a teaching institution for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

GTB Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including round-the-clock emergency care, trauma management, and specialized departments such as neurosurgery, burns and plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry. The hospital is equipped with advanced facilities like CT scans, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and a thalassemia day care center. Additionally, it has computerized its OPD and IPD registrations, blood sample collection centers, admission and enquiry services, laboratory investigations, and medical record data through a Local Area Network (LAN).

In its commitment to expanding healthcare services, GTB Hospital has recently enhanced its obstetrics and gynecology facilities by adding a new labor room with 15 additional beds and two labor tables. Furthermore, the dental department has introduced an orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics wing, equipped with state-of-the-art dental chairs and staffed by experienced specialists. These developments aim to improve patient care and address the growing healthcare needs of the community.
