Vaccine Overview
Cetrorelix acetate for injection 0.25 mg
Cetrorelix acetate is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist used in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) like IVF. It prevents premature luteinizing hormone (LH) surges during controlled ovarian stimulation, improving the chances of successful egg retrieval. Administered subcutaneously, usually once daily during the mid-to-late follicular phase, it allows better control of ovulation timing. It is typically used alongside FSH injections and other fertility medications. Side effects are generally mild and include local irritation at the injection site, headache, or nausea. Use only under specialist supervision.
