Vaccine Overview
Danazol capsules l.P.
Danazol is a synthetic steroid derived from ethisterone, primarily used to treat endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, and hereditary angioedema. It works by inhibiting the pituitary-ovarian axis, reducing estrogen production and suppressing ovulation. Danazol alleviates pain and inflammation in endometriosis and reduces breast nodularity and tenderness. It should be taken orally as prescribed, and use is generally limited due to potential androgenic side effects such as weight gain, acne, and voice changes. Regular monitoring is advised during long-term therapy to assess liver and hormonal health.
