Vaccine Overview

Clomiphene citrate tablets I.P.

Clomiphene citrate is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used to induce ovulation in women with anovulatory infertility, such as in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It stimulates the release of hormones necessary for ovulation by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, thereby increasing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels. Treatment is usually started early in the menstrual cycle. While generally well-tolerated, it can cause side effects like hot flashes or ovarian hyperstimulation. Monitoring via ultrasound is recommended during use.
