ChAdOx1 nCoV- 19 Corona Virus Vaccine (Recombinant)

This COVID-19 vaccine uses a replication-deficient chimpanzee adenovirus vector encoding the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. It stimulates both humoral and cellular immunity to prevent COVID-19. Administered in two doses intramuscularly, it was one of the first vaccines deployed globally. It has demonstrated good efficacy and safety in preventing symptomatic disease, hospitalizations, and deaths. Widely used in many countries, it also plays a key role in primary and booster immunization campaigns, especially in resource-limited settings.
