Vaccine Overview
Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine 40 mg
The BCG vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine used primarily to prevent severe forms of tuberculosis (TB) in children, such as TB meningitis and miliary TB. Administered intradermally at birth, typically in the upper arm, it induces localized immune response. While it does not fully prevent pulmonary TB in adults, it remains essential in TB-endemic regions. It can also be used in bladder cancer therapy in different concentrations and formulations.
