Vaccine Overview

Td-2

The second dose of the Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccine (Td-2) should be given 4 weeks after the first dose (Td-1) during pregnancy. Similar to the first dose, the vaccine is administered as 0.5 ml injected into the upper arm, into the muscle (intra-muscular). This second dose helps to further strengthen the immunity against tetanus and diphtheria, providing continued protection for both the mother and the baby throughout the pregnancy. It's important to follow this schedule to ensure optimal protection.
