Scheme Description

The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employee Cashless Medical Scheme is a healthcare initiative launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide cashless medical treatment to state government employees, retired employees, and their dependents. This scheme was introduced under the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Medical Attendance) Rules of 2011, which have been amended over time. The scheme was officially implemented through a Government Order (GO) on January 7, 2022.

Under the scheme, government employees and their families are eligible for cashless treatment in empaneled hospitals across Uttar Pradesh. The scheme ensures that private hospitals empaneled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana provide treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year per family. For government hospitals, treatment is offered without any financial limit, ensuring that beneficiaries do not face financial barriers to accessing medical care. A State Health Card is mandatory for every eligible beneficiary to avail of the treatment.

This initiative aims to provide comprehensive healthcare support to the state's public servants and their families, helping them access necessary treatments without the burden of high medical costs.
